My Story
I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Oregon, but I’ve called Colorado home for most of my adult life. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 27 years, and together we’ve had the joy of raising two amazing children.
As our youngest prepares to head off to college, we are about to embrace the new adventure of empty nesting. It’s a bittersweet moment as we reflect on the years gone by and look forward to what lies ahead.
I truly cherish life’s little pleasures and I’m always up for a having a good time and lots of laughs . When I’m not working on my business, you’ll often find me enjoying peaceful walks with my lovable Labradoodle, Tank, around our property. I love shopping and spending quality time with family and friends. I also have a passion for listening to captivating podcasts and watching True Crime TV shows.

How it Began
My story began many years ago when I started selling felt board products alongside my mom. She founded her business, Felt Fantasies, in 1990, and I enjoyed accompanying her to educational conferences and craft shows.
In 2005, I made the decision to branch out from my mom’s business and launched my own company, Storytelling Fun. I started selling felt board sets on eBay, and they were an instant hit, proving to be transformative for both our businesses. The demand for felt sets surged, with customers requesting designs inspired by popular children’s songs and books. Mastering the craft of making these felt sets by hand was a time-consuming endeavor, but the end result was incredibly adorable and well worth the effort.
As the demand continued to rise and I became a parent myself, balancing business and travel became increasingly challenging, and I needed to find a new way to sell our products. So, I enlisted the help of my family to expand and nurture my business further.
Today, my mom and I continue to sell each other's products, reflecting how far we've come from that first felt set we created years ago. We're fortunate to still collaborate on production and sales. Being neighbors means we get to see each other every day when we "go to work," which is truly a blessing.
